A special assembly was conducted at Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore, to celebrate the National Girl Child Day. Speeches were delivered and poems were recited to instill the desire to spread the message to save the girl child. The children of the primary wing presented a role play showing the women of India who have been achievers in life. A skit was also presented by the students of the middle school which beautifully depicted the capabilities of a woman and how important it is to save her. The message “Beti Bachao, Beti Padao’ an initiative of Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi was also a highlight of the assembly.
