PINJORE DIPSITES OUTSHINE IN CLASS X AND CLASS XII CBSE EXAMINATION, 2018

The students of DPS , Pinjore (now Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore) brought laurels to the school with their outstanding performance in class X and class XII CBSE examination. With as many as 14 students scoring an aggregate of 90% and above in class X , Yashi Goyal topped the list with 96% followed by Harpreet Singh at 95.2% and Harsh Srivastava stood third with 94.8% . Harpreet Singh scored cent percent in S.St. while Shivangi Mishra scored 99. Shruti Bansal, Muskaan and Aditi Prashar also scored 99 marks in Computers.  Harsh Srivastava scored the same in Mathematics. Also as many as 135 students scored 90% and above marks in various subjects. The cent-per-cent quality result also gave everyone moments of exhilaration.

In class XII Soumyadeep Pathak took the lead in Science Stream scoring 94% marks followed by Upasna Sharma and Srishtie Sabherwal with 92% and 91.6% marks respectively. The Commerce Stream was topped by Aneesh Sharma followed by Ritwick Machhral while Anushka Sharma took the lead in Humanities. The Management, Principal and Staff congratulated all the students on their luminous performance.

SHEMFORD FUTURISTIC SCHOOL PINJORE organized Shemford Summer Cricket Tournament in its world class cricket ground from May 20, 2018 to May 23, 2018. The tournament was inaugurated with lot of zeal, enthusiasm, energy and sportsmanship. Various teams participated from tricity.

   

The tournament consisted of league and knockout matches. Prizes under various categories i.e. Man of the series, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best All Rounder and Man of the Match were given away to the achievers along with Winners and Runners Up trophy to the winning teams by the Principal during the closing meet of the Tournament.

It was indeed Mothers’ Day at SHEMFORD Futuristic School, Pinjore, where mothers of our ShemStars had a momentous experience of watching their children performing exclusively for them. Ms. Amita Dhaka, Principal of SHEMFORD Pinjore, greeted the exuberant gathering. She also confirmed that care is taken to inculcate Sanskars in the children as a part of the school curriculum and, under this theme, various activities were conducted, class-wise, to make all the mother of every ShemStar feel special and blessed. The students of the Pre-Primary wing stole the show with their innocent expressions in a beautiful dance performance, while the students of the Primary and the Middle School brought tears to the eyes of all through their beautiful items expressing their love and gratitude to their mothers. It was a fun filled day for the mothers as various activities like Act Smart, Tune Smart, Walk Smart, Rhythm Smart, Cook Smart, Write Smart and Advice Smart were organized, where they got a platform to exhibit their thoughts, expressions and talents, and of course, relive their childhood. The jubilance of the day increased manifold when certificates for Excellence in Academics were given away to the Star Achievers for the session 2017-2018.  Dr. Mrs. Bimla Arora congratulated all the mothers on this special occasion.

Technology Day was observed at Shemford, Pinjore , to commemorate the successful nuclear test at Pokhran, Rajasthan. The students of the Pre Primary Wing were acquainted with commonly used gadgets in day to day lives to arouse their curiosity, while, for the students of the Primary Wing, a quiz was conducted in the assembly which followed information on the Technology day in the form of speeches and poems.   An inter house quiz competition was conducted by the IT department of the school for the seniors to mark the day. The enthusiasm and zeal of the participants as well as the audience made this event truly remarkable and a great learning experience for all.

SHEMFORD Pinjore Celebrates Community Helpers’ Day

On 1st May 2018, Labour Day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm by our ShemStars. A thought-provoking assembly was conducted by the students and all the helpers at school were also invited. Beautiful poems were recited and speeches were spoken to show gratitude to all the helpers who keep the environment neat and clean. They presented cards and titles to each and every helper to make them feel special and show that they are indispensable parts of the institution. Ms. Amita Dhaka, the Principal of SHEMFORD Pinjore, in her address said that ‘without labour nothing prospers’- which was indeed a strong message.

The helpers at school also exhibited their happiness by putting up beautiful dance and song performances, which followed the cultural program put up by the students and teachers of SHEMFORD.

At SHEMFORD, it is strongly believed that both teachers and parents play an important role in the growth and development of the children and it’s only through open communication, fruitful discussions and active participation by both, a strong foundation for children can be laid. This was taken up as the underlying theme at the Orientation Programme held for the parents at SHEMFORD Futuristic School, Pinjore.

Ms Amita Dhaka, the Principal, explained that it was an endeavour to acquaint the parents with ShemEduMAXTM, the unique, research based and child centric curriculum of SHEMFORD and SHEMROCK Group of Schools, developed and improved at its R&D Office, New Delhi.

The Orientation Programme was graced by Dr D R Arora, Chairman, SHEMFORD and SHEMROCK Group of Schools, Dr Mrs Bimla Arora, the Founder Director of SHEMROCK Group of Schools, Mr Amol Arora, the Vice-Chairman and Managing Director of SHEMFORD and SHEMROCK Group of Schools and Mrs Meenal Arora, the Founder Director of SHEMFORD Group of Schools, who duly appreciated the right choice of the institution made by the parents of ShemSTARS (children studying at SHEMFORD Schools). Mrs Meenal Arora left the audience captivated with her speech which focussed around exclusive Parenting Tips and how effectively parents can utilize the benefits of the unique curriculum,ShemEduMAXTM to raise their children.

Besides this, ‘Synergy’ (the parent participation programme) was highlighted- as a means of communication between the parents and the institution for various purposes concerning the growth and development of children.

The parents, at the programme, were extremely impressed to learn about the LMS- Learning Management System, a highly futuristic method of teaching online. The Orientation Programme was, indeed, informative and helpful too for the parents to experience the beautiful journey that their children would undertake while being at the school. The satisfactory smiles on the faces of the parents were evident of the usefulness and success of the programme.

To help the newcomers feel comfortable at school, they are given a platform to exhibit their talents. It has always helped the students feel important and become one with the others.

The talent hunt competition was held at Shemford where the new Shemstars exhibited their competence in various activities like singing, dancing, playing the casio, painting, sketching, calligraphy, poem recitation and much more. All the new students were welcomed and applauded for the talent they exhibited.

‘Mother of all the mothers is in great despair, she needs our love and care’, was the keynote of the Earth Day celebrations in the school. The students expressed this motif through various Inter House Competitions. Poems were recited and compositions were written on thought provoking pictures. It is believed that children learn by doing. ‘Best out of Waste’ brought out many ways of reusing the waste material effectively which proved to be a practical lesson for the young Shemstars.

This thought and theme was also expressed by compiling beautiful and colourful scrap files filled with posters and pictures depicting the plight that mother earth is undergoing. Beautiful collages were also made by them. A quiz based on Earth Day and speeches to spread awareness among their fellow students was the contribution made by the seniors students. The tiny tots of Shem Foundation were taken for a nature walk around the beautiful gardens in the school campus. They were also shown how to germinate seeds in tiny pots.

The Principal, Ms Amita Dhaka encouraged the students to plant a seed on every birthday, it would be in this way that they could invest oxygen for their own future. She said “Save the earth in your own little way.”

SHEMFORD PINJORE CELEBRATES BAISAKHI

It was a cherished morn at the Shemford Pinjore , when the Shemstars greeted one another on the onset of the new year, Baisakhi. A lot of gaiety spread in the valley with the echoes of beautiful Punjabi folk songs. The Shemstars of the Primary and Pre Primary wing brought into the premises all the hues of life being clad in bright Punjabi attire. Beautiful dances presented by them left the audience enthralled. Speeches and poems were also delivered to enlighten them about the reason to celebrate this event.
There was another cause of celebration- Dr B R Ambedkar Jayanti. To honour the principal architect of the Constitution of India, speeches were delivered in his honour and a quiz was conducted on the life and works of the great personality. The Principal, Ms Amita Dhaka guided the students to understand their responsibility towards the nation and adhere to the Constitution of India in true spirit. She also conveyed her greetings and a prosperous new year to the Shemstars and their families.

‘It is health that is real wealth , not pieces of gold and silver’ – was the message conveyed in the morning assembly by the young Shemstars at Shemford, Pinjore. Stressing upon the theme, UHC (Universal Health Coverage), of World Heath Day for the year 2018 , Dr Shashi Gupta guided the young children to take care of their own selves to lead a better and healthy life.
The students of classes 1 and 2 eagerly participated in Fancy dress presentation, dressed up as healthy and junk food, teaching in their own way to distinguish the right kind of food from the wrong. Various inter house competitions like collage making, declamation, power point presentations were also conducted for the Shemstars of Primary and Middle School wherein they left no stone unturned to prove their caliber. A group discussion was also organized for the senior students with the doctor at school to mark the event. They could gather the message that – ‘To keep the body in good health is a duty, otherwise we shall not be able to keep our mind strong and clear’.
