During the Tree Plantation Week a variety of vegetables and fruits were planted in the newly developed nutrition garden by the students of the Primary Wing of Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore.
The management of Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore leaves no stone unturned to do the best for their Shemstars. In the lush green, 10 acre campus of the school, a ‘Nutrition Garden’ has been set up under the able guidance of Dr. Mrs. Bimla Arora, PhD, Nutrition, Leeds University, UK.
The members of the Rotary Club, Pinjore Hills and Punjabi Sabha (Arora and Khatri), Pinjore, also contributed to the drive and planted saplings of some fruit trees to add to the week-long celebration. They remarked that they had chosen the campus of Shemford, Pinjore because the ornate green campus of the school confirms the faith that great care is taken of the flora which is a great contribution to the conservation of the degenerating environment. They congratulated the school management and Principal for their unstinted efforts in the benefit of the children.
Keeping in view the request made by working parents, the management has also taken a unique initiative of providing Brunch boxes with nutritious food combos which are easy and convenient to eat during the short school break. The menu, with a variety of delicious Indian traditional and continental items, has been thoughtfully chalked out under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Bimla Arora. This initiative has been appreciated and welcomed especially by the working parents of the students.
All these steps strengthen the faith of the parents that at Shemford, we do what we preach.
